I can't believe it has been a week since I posted anything. I know that a lot has happened since then but for the life of me I cannot recall much of it.
A funny...the other night during Family Home Evening Alec was sitting on my lap and Rob was asking questions about the Holy Ghost. He asked who was authorized to bestow the gift of the Holy Ghost upon people. He raised his hand and when daddy picked him he leaned his ear toward my face thus prompting me to give him the answer. I whispered, "Those who hold the Priesthood." For which he translated into "Hoes and the Priesthood." We were rolling. He laughed as well at his funny but truly he had NO IDEA what he had just said wrong. HA HA HA!!!
The kids are doing swim lessons again and thankfully Alec is no longer sinking. Yes, I said sinking! He used to let go of the wall and sink. Or...he'd be pushed toward the wall by his teacher from a short distance away and he'd....SINK. Thankfully something in him has become buoyant and he now floats with greater ease. Yes, he still needs to learn some essentials but not sinking is huge!
We had friends over for games Saturday night, that was a lot of fun. We had a rain check to make good on with Sam and Christy and with the kids always complaining about not having enough time with friends (24/7 wouldn't be enough for them...really!!!!) we wanted to appease them and also spend some time with some other good friends. So Cathy, Craig, and kiddos came to join the fun. We're glad they could come too, it was a lot of fun and the girls kicked the boys bottoms while playing Taboo. They were being so cocky too...we were forced to humble them. Ha ha ha!
We got a bit of snow today, not nearly enough to satisfy our desire for some real snow. The kind you can play in, sled on, throw at each other, build a snowman with, etc. We are praying for snow! Although we maybe should be careful what we wish for! Rob has wanted a ton of snow and for the power to go out....WHY....because he has a snow plow blade mounted to his lawn tractor a generator that he is dying to use! I keep telling him that because we are more prepared we won't need them, if we were less prepared we'd likely get a ton of snow and a power outage....is that Murphy's Law or some other weirdos law.....don't know but it appears to be true here.
I am not much a TV watcher, I am more of a movie buff, but I do enjoy the show "Lost". I am anxious for the premier of the new season next week. Now I am not so anxious as to put one of the counter things on my blog or anything (Christy), but I am excited to see if they make sense of anything they have told us thus far. I have SOOOOO many questions.
Okay, enough of the rambling. I am exhausted and feeling the need to "jamify" myself (that is to put on pajamas) and get cozy in my bed while trying to give my attention to the recap of Lost from last season. My cozy bed and jam-jams are calling.
Blog to you later!

Oh my heavens, I haven't laughed out loud like that in a long time. "Hoes and the Priesthood" That is priceless! What an adorable and funny little dude our Alec is.
